The Petworth Festival welcomes acclaimed international visitors, The Trio Martinu. The trio was formed at the Prague Conservatory in 1990 and its current line-up has remained unchanged since 1993. Their programme includes Martinu’s lesser known but immense in scope Third Piano Trio, full of broad romantic themes and a clear stylistic relation of the earlier Brahms and Dvorak works.

Brahms Piano Trio No. 3 in C minor Op. 101
Martinu Piano Trio No. 3 in C major H332 (please see above, this will be replaced by his Piano Trio No.2 in D minor, H. 327)
Dvorak Piano Trio in F minor Op. 65

Generously sponsored by Andrea Frears and John & Belinda Horley
