This year's 40th Anniversary Festival Walk starts in the village of Tillington.
Tillington stands on a hill above the A272 between Midhurst and Petworth. To the south the village overlooks the Rother Valley and the South Downs beyond. To the east it borders Petworth Park, the home of Lord Egremont and his family. All Hallows' Church is renowned throughout the region for the Scots Crown surmounting the tower.
UPDATE 28 July 2018: Please note that the new starting point for this year's Festival Walk will be Tillington Cricket Pavilion (not the Village Hall as advertised in the brochure - this is due to refurbishment taking place in Tillington Village Hall). On leaving the A272, you will pass The Horse Guards Inn on your left and All Hallows' Church on the right. Continue passed the Village Hall and on up the hill, you will see some tennis courts on your left and the cricket pavilion just beyond these.
Parking: There is plenty of parking along the road and in front of the Village Hall and at the cricket pavilion.
