Definitely aimed at the younger audience, join the Rubbish Shakespeare Company for their ‘rubbish’ version of ‘the immortal Bard’s’ much loved spectacle A Midsummer Night’s Dream. What to expect? An hour full of high- octane slapstick action and mischievous storytelling: a trail of wigs, bubble guns, life-size cardboard cut-outs, and a frankly pitiful attempt at roller skating.

The Rubbish Shakespeare Company (RubSC) is a children’s and family-friendly theatre company, whose roots are in Creative Education. Founded by three Liverpool John Moores University graduates in 2007, their mission is to make the Bard’s work accessible to everyone. As for those who’ve had negative formative experiences with Shakespeare, RubSC want to show Shakespeare is not, in fact, rubbish!

This show will be free to anyone under 105...
