The original ‘Stables’ night – Jazz in the
Stables – has been a hit year on year
for over a decade with a progression of
great bands who are not only brilliant
‘jazzers’ but also fabulous entertainers
and – dare we say it – great ‘floor fillers’.
The 2022 edition as ever features three
bands: we welcome the young jazz
musicians from West Sussex Music to
kick off proceedings, followed by two
brilliant live outfits, The Boneshaker
Band and bill-toppers, Natty Congeroo
and the Flames of Rhythm.
One of Europe’s top swing bands, ‘The
Flames’ have gained a reputation as
a top festival/party Swing band for
their high-energy performances and
immersive crowd experiences. The repertoire of the
band includes explosive interpretations of classic Hot
Jazz, Swing, Rhythm ’n’ Blues and Gospel numbers from
the golden era of this music in the 1930s-40s. As well as
a reputation for a hot authentic sound the band is well
known for its unique sense of style and presentation with
its members dressed to the nines in sharp and eccentric
tailored vintage attire. And then there’s Natty himself!
