We are joined by two remarkable young Royal Academy musicians
who present an imaginatively designed programme with repertoire
including music by Jon Nordal, Frank Bridge, Chen Yi & Beethoven.
Born into a musical family in Reykjavík, Icelandic-American cellist
Geirþrúður Anna Guðmundsdóttir made her debut in 2013 with the
Iceland Symphony Orchestra. A passionate chamber musician,
Geirþrúður is the cellist of the Terra Quartet, a string quartet based in
New York City, and divides her time between New York, London, and
her hometown of Reykjavik.
Chinese pianist Hanzhi Zhang is currently undertaking an Advanced
Diploma in Piano Performance at the Royal Academy of Music under
Michael Dussek and Andrew West, supported by a RAM scholarship.
