The festival is delighted to work one again with artists supported by the Worshipful Company
of Musicians. Australian mezzo-soprano Lotte Betts-Dean is a singer on a very fast upward
trajectory. A versatile and dynamic concert artist, her performance experience encompasses
opera, oratorio, contemporary music, art song recital/chamber music, early music and nonclassical collaborations.
With a host of prizes and artistic associations to her name, Lotte won
the 2019 Oxford Lieder Young Artist Platform and is a bursar with the Imogen Cooper Music
Trust. She became a Yeoman of the Worshipful Company of Musicians in 2019 after winning
the inaugural New Elizabethan Award. She is joined by fellow Yeoman, guitarist Dimitris
Soukaras. Born in Corinth in 1995 Dimitris is a Masters student at the Royal Academy of
Music and has received distinctions in 12 international/national competitions.
