There is no better way to discover the spectacular diversity of the local landscape than on foot. Whether you enjoy exploring green and gently rolling valleys or tackling rugged cliff-top paths, there are walks in David Bathurst’s book to keep you rambling all year round. An indefatigable walker, David unlaces his boots for an hour to provide a narrative to his fabulous walker’s companion.
David Bathurst is 57, semi-retired, and working as a part-time criminal defence lawyer. His career was as a legal adviser in the magistrates’ courts in Chichester and Worthing. Married to Sue and with a daughter Jenny aged 15, he lives in Yapton near Arundel. He has written around thirty books, mostly on a walking theme. He has walked all the official long-distance footpaths in Britain, has taken part in stage productions of all the surviving Gilbert & Sullivan operas, and has recited the entire New Testament from memory. He recently sang through an entire hymn book (400 hymns) again from memory. He has appeared on Eggheads and Countdown.
