Join Ensemble Hesperi earlier in the afternoon on Wednesday 31 July for a unique dance workshop. Kathleen Gilbert will lead participants through a selection of simple dances, teaching some basic steps and introducing everyone to some of the fascinating history of Highland Dance. The workshop will be accompanied by live eighteenth century music from members of the ensemble by Scottish Baroque composers Robert Bremner and John Reid.
Highland dancing is a great workout - so wear comfortable shoes and clothing, and bring a bottle of water!
The dance workshop will take place on the grassy area to the side of the church, near the parking area (if it's raining the workshop will take place in the Refectory). If you’re attending the dance workshop AND the evening concert then the workshop is free when both are booked at the same time.
