The Petworth team hopes that all events will prove memorable, but audiences who attended Chineke’s festival debut in 2019 will doubtless attest to the fact that this ensemble produced one of THE events of that particular season. We are delighted to welcome them back in a programme that contrasts two Mozart masterpieces with two from the 20th century by Prokofiev and Samuel Coleridge-Taylor.
The Chineke! Foundation was created in 2015 to provide career opportunities to established and up-and-coming black and ethnically-diverse classical musicians in the UK and Europe under the motto ‘championing change and celebrating diversity in classical music.’
