A major new project featuring Petworth Festival friends the Armonico Consort who so memorably opened the 40th anniversary festival with their ‘surround- sound’ choral experience in Petworth House’s Stable Yard. For this special project the choir is joined by local school children, acclaimed soprano Elin Manahan Thomas, who sang at the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle; former Official Harpist to HRH The Prince of Wales, Anne Denholm; and special guest narrator Oliver Phelps, star of the Harry Potter films.

Join Armonico Consort in the retelling of Beowulf, one of the world’s greatest mythical tales, in an evening of musical entertainment. Discover a legendary time of heroes and warriors as prince Beowulf battles demons and magical beasts.

Alongside a gripping script from one of the authors of Have I Got News For You, Will Towers, this touching epic saga has been set to music by Armonico Consort’s composer-in-residence, Toby Young (former BBC Proms Young Composer of the Year). With composer Toby on keyboards, Beowulf guarantees to excite the whole family and is the perfect introduction to the breathtaking excitement of live music.
