About Petworth

Petworth is a beautiful, bustling, busy market town dating from Saxon times. There are over thirty art and antique shops and an increasing number of enticing boutiques, galleries and smaller shops clustered around the compact town centre.

This wealth of individual shops and businesses includes a bookshop, gift shop, florist, hardware store, butcher, deli, cobbler, supermarket, chemist, library, music shop, rug shop, museum, clothes boutiques, jewellers, doctors surgery, cafes, restaurants, pubs, hairdressers, charity shop and so much more, not forgetting the renowned art collection at Petworth House and Petworth Park – landscaped by ‘Capability’ Brown. There is also a monthly farmers market.
