Two magnificent musicians – violinist Thomas Gould and pianist Gwilym Simcock - come together for a very special collaboration as they jointly attach their unique skills to the music of JS Bach. Expect an exhilarating genre-bending concert as Gould and Simcock, both well known in their respective fields, explore the intersections between notation and improvisation and between classical and jazz. Drawing on Sonatas for Violin and Keyboard by J.S Bach, as well as other arrangements by Simcock (“a creative genius” according to Chick Corea), this will be a wonderful exploration of Bach’s influence and music.
