The French pianist, Cédric Tiberghien has been playing the piano since the age of five. He studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de la Musique in Paris and was awarded the Premier Prix in 1992, aged just 16. He has subsequently achieved significant competition successes in Bremen, Dublin, Tel Aviv, Geneva and Milan. A member of the BBC’s prestigious roster of New Generation Artists, Cédric Tiberghien’s career spans five continents and has taken him to some of the world’s most prestigious concert halls, including, Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Centre in Washington, the Royal Albert Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Wigmore Hall and Barbican in London, the Salle Pleyel and the Theatre des Champs Elysees in Paris, Berlin’s Bechstein Hall, Salzburg’s Mozarteum, the Sydney Opera and Tokyo’s Bunka Kaikan and Asahi Halls.
